Founded in 2023 by a 25-year veteran of criminal justice advocacy and re-entry work, P2PP is rooted in lived experience. We fight against the racialized myths that fuel policies that criminalize rather than humanize people. Our work advocates for evidence-based practices that build true public safety in our communities, and challenge traditional conceptions of “justice.”

Our Founder and Executive Director
With over 25 years of experience in criminal justice reform and public policy, Marisol Garcia designs equity-centered solutions across criminal justice, higher education, and advocacy spaces.
She is an Adjunct Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at Eastern Connecticut State College and will earn her JD with a concentration in Restorative Justice and a dual Master of Public Policy from Vermont and Graduate Law in 2026.
